Mrs. Whiting is what All teachers should be. Not only has she taught the required curriculum, she has taught this class how to learn and how to absorb information. She has invested so much of her own time and money into her class and their future. Her compassion and love for the kids shows in each one of them. She has taught them respect, self worth, teamwork, team spirit, and so many things that is so important in a child's life, that is not required to teach in a classroom.

Mrs. Whiting inspires me to be a better Mom and person. Daily she teaches her class the same, with just who she is. I feel she should be honored daily for the impact she is making in our children's lives. I could not have found a better teacher to begin the journey of my child's education. The children who have her now and her future classes are so fortunate.

Chester Morrison is also so lucky to have her to represent the school. Anyone can be considered a teacher, but it takes someone special, like Mrs. Whiting, to touch our kids and open their minds and hearts for what's to come.
